What is BEC Online Remittance?
"BEC Online Remittance", is an online payments facility which enables you to send International Remittances online. All it requires is a one-off registration process at any one of our conveniently located branches.
BEC ONLINE remittance service enables you to transfer money fast, safe and securely from the comfort of your home, office or even while travelling. BEC ONLINE is one of the most competitive and safest modes of money transfer available in the State of Kuwait.

Who can use this facility?
This facility can be used by all residents of Kuwait who hold a valid CIVILID card and have a Debit / K-net card issued by any bank in State of Kuwait.

How do I Register for BEC Online Remittance?
Submit your Registration details on the BEC Online website by clicking Register Here and filling out the Registration Form and other Supporting documents requested under the due diligence procedures. Then, go to any BEC branch to submit your valid CIVIL ID card and sign the Registration Form. When you visit the branch just provide your Civil ID number and the Sales Consultant will print your already prepared Registration Form for checking and signing.
If you are an existing customer of BEC you do need to fill out your details online as they will already be available on the BEC system and can be instantly retrieved to generate your Registration Form when you visit the branch with your valid Civil ID card. The system will advise you if you are an existing BEC customer when you enter your Civil ID number in the Registration page. Once the Registration process is complete you will receive an email with your Login ID and password from BEC Online Remittance. You can then start making online International Remittances.
It takes around 5-10 minutes to complete the registration in most cases. Once you complete your registration online it may take up to 24 - 48 hours for your details to be verified electronically. In case you do not hear from us within 48 hours feel free to write to us at beconline@bec.com.kw from your registered email ID. Should you wish to complete your KYC by visiting any of BEC retail outlet your registration can be completed immediately once you provide the necessary documents.

What are the payment options available for using BEC Online Remittance?
You can use any Kuwait Debit Card / K- Net Card issued in your name for the remittance purpose.

What happens if I provided invalid beneficiary account details?
When the beneficiary's bank receives the fund, they will check the account name and account number to validate the correct recipient. If these do not match, then the payment will be rejected and should be returned to us automatically; this may take couple of days but could be significantly longer. Our Customer Service team will notify you, when we have received the returned funds and return the local equivalent converted at the prevailing rate by issuing you a draft in your name. This draft can be collected from head office branch conveniently located in the heart of Kuwait City, opposite to the famous liberation towers.
Please note, although it is unlikely that the incorrect account details will be valid for another recipient at the same bank, we cannot guarantee to return funds which have been paid into another account.

How long will it take for the payment to be received by the beneficiary?
We try our best to make your remittance in the shortest possible time, Although Delivery times cannot be guaranteed due to involvement of independent banking institutions in the transfer process.

What should I do if I believe my bank account has been debited incorrectly?

Can I recall a payment?
Once the payment has been processed it is not possible to recall.

Are there any transaction limits?
There are no general restrictions on value or frequency of payments. However, when you register with us you will be asked to provide an indication of your typical monthly volume of transactions. This information helps us detect any fraudulent use of your account and we may query any out-of-character transactions. Please keep us updated regarding any changes to your regular pattern or volume of transactions. This can be done by updating the details online in your Account Details.
There may be country specific limits that need to be observed. When entering a transaction BEC Online Remittance will alert you of these restrictions. It is our responsibility as a financial institution to adhere to the directives of the central bank of Kuwait and support government initiatives in combating the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, therefore we must obtain, verify and record all information of all our customers who transact with us. There may be instances that you will be asked to provide supporting documents for transfers executed through us.

What is the KYC (Know your Customer) Process for BEC ONLINE?
When you do a transaction with BEC Online for the first time an electronic KYC verification will be done, and if required one would have to furnish a scanned valid Civil ID. The KYC can also be completed by visiting any BEC retail outlet located across the Kuwait.

How can I cancel my transaction?
Almost all bank account transfers occur instantly and processed within minutes of confirming the transaction. It may not be possible to cancel a bank account transfer once processed. However, you can contact out customer support team if you reasonably think the transaction should be cancelled and our team will do best possible to assist you. For cash pick up transactions, you can cancel the transaction by contacting our customer support team if not paid at the beneficiary end.

How can I amend a transaction already processed?
All amendments need to be requested through our customer service team. Our team will do best possible to assist with your request.

Are there any restrictions and rules for sending money to India?
The following restrictions and rules apply for sending remittance to India:
Cash Payout: Only amounts up to INR 50,000 can be paid as cash payout. Amounts in excess of INR 50,000, but up to INR 100,000/- will be paid as a cheque by the paying agent in India. -
Can I make an online transaction to other countries?
Yes. BEC reserves the right to ask for further information as part of its enhanced due diligence policy and procedures.

Will I receive credit confirmation SMS?
No, as of now you will receive an e-mail confirmation. SMS feature will be added soon.

Will I be added to the BEC campaigns/promotions if I make an online transaction during that period?
Yes, all BEC online customers who make an online transaction during that period (campaign/promotion) will be automatically added to the draw.

How can I submit a query on a processed transaction?

How do i activate BEC Application?
For registered customers, they can directly log into the App and can complete the registration by validating the OTP sent from BEC. For receiving the OTP customer must have their mobile number registered with BEC. Once OTP is received by the customer and confirmed, BEC application is ready to use. For new customers who have not registered with us for BEC Online, please visit our nearest branch or see above for How do I Register for BEC Online Remittance?

How to receive OTP
Valid mobile number should be updated at all times with BEC for the smooth flow of our service. If OTP is not received after multiple attempts, please contact Customer Service team.

How do I add new beneficiary details?
Simply add your beneficiary details by clicking 'add beneficiary' option and click "Save Beneficiary". Once the details are saved our team will verify and authorize it within few hours.

Which Mobile platform does BEC Mobile App support?
BEC Mobile Application supports both Android and iOS platform.

I have forgotten my password. How do I get a new one?
If you cannot remember your password please click the Forgot Password link on the Login screen. You will be asked to provide your ID number or Login ID and email address. If the details are valid you will be automatically forwarded an email with your Login ID and password. If the details, you have provided cannot be validated please contact the BEC Customer Service Centre to arrange for your password to be reset and emailed to you. They will ask for your security questions to validate your identity. Contact details can be found in the Contact Us section.

I have entered my password incorrectly and have been blocked from logging into my Online Account. What should I do?
If you have entered your password incorrectly 3 times your Login ID will be blocked for security reasons. Please contact BEC Customer Service Centre to unblock your Login and reset your password. Contact details can be found in the Contact Us section.

Why does BEC Online time-out after a period?
As a security measure, if your connection to BEC Online Remittance remains idle for more than 15 minutes the service will automatically time-out and you will need to log back in.

Is BEC Online secure?
Yes, it is. BEC Online website is encrypted with VeriSign SSL certificates to provide you with secure access for your online transactions. A green "https" with a lock appears on your address bar as confirmation of the secure and encrypted pages. The VeriSign Trust Seal on BEC Online home page assures that it is legitimate and has been verified by VeriSign. You can click on the seal for more information about the certificate. BEC ONLINE remittance service does not share any personal information provided by you with any third party (unless we are required to do so by law). We also maintain our systems to high-level security standards, which is frequently tested and audited.

What are the security questions for?
If you require assistance with your Online Account, the security questions are used as an additional check by BEC Customer Service Centre staff to verify the identity of the caller. You should not share your security questions with anyone and only provide them to the BEC Customer Service Centre if you initiate the call.

How do I keep my Login details secure?
Your Login ID and password are the key to accessing your Online Account to use BEC Online. The security of your Login ID and password is therefore very important. These guidelines are designed to help you keep your Login ID and password secure. By following these guidelines, you can assist in preventing misuse of your Login ID and password. BEC will not be liable for unauthorized transactions.
Protecting your Login ID and Password
To help protect your Login ID and password you must:- Not disclose your password to anyone including a family member or friend
- Only disclose your Login ID to a member of the BEC Customer Service Centre if you initiated the call
- Take care to prevent anyone else seeing your Login ID or password being entered electronically
- Try to commit your Login ID and password to memory and not write or indicate them anywhere without reasonably disguising them
- Change your password immediately via the Change Password link on the website if you become aware that your Login ID or password record has been lost or stolen, or known or used by someone else
- Not choose a password which has an easily retrieved combination (for example, repeated numbers or letters)
- Not choose a password that is easily identified with you (for example, your birth date, car registration, telephone number or your name or part of it)
Choosing a Secure Password
To help you ensure your password cannot be guessed by unauthorized users the Remittance Online service enforces the following rules when choosing a password:- Must be at least 8 characters
- Must be a combination of numbers and characters
- Must not be similar to any personal details provided during the Registration, e.g. telephone number
Disguising Your Password
If you record your password, you must make a reasonable attempt to disguise it. The following are examples of what is NOT a reasonable attempt to disguise your password:- Recording the password in reverse order
- Recording the password as a telephone number where no other numbers are recorded
- Recording the password as a telephone number with the password in its correct sequence
- Recording the password among other numbers or letters with any of them marked to indicate the password
- Recording the password, disguised as a date (including your birth date) or as an amount
- Recording the password in an easily understood code
- You must not use any other form of disguise that may be easily discovered by another person
